I pay for google Adwords on one of my websites

Every day my personal stats have shown the identical amount of unique visitors to the google clicks

I then notices that today the google clicks were far higher than the amount of unique visitors i had. (which has never happened before)

All these extra clicks have come from one ip address 195.93.21.33

What conclusions would you draw from this?

I have a feeling someone is constantly clicking on my google ads... probably to run down my budget and lower my click-through rate which will result in a lower ranking...

I only advertise my site on searches and not other sites, so this rules out someone clicking on them for cash.

report it to google, as invalid clicks you should get credited for them.

Yeah, just done that mate, and ive put a message on the website saying so to hopefully stop him from doing it.

If the IP number is static then ive found out who it is... if its dynamic then i aint got a clue :-(

I know this ip number visited http://www.narrowboatchat.com on 2005-03-20 12:07:56.. so surely that must narrow (no pun intended) it down a bit

Could be a AOL web proxy... so could be several aol users share that same IP for the purposes of logging etc.

I think your probably right mate, i cant see anyone being sad enough to click on the same link 24hrs a day!! surely they need to sleep at some point.

i've only heard the ringtone once(apart from TV ads), in a plane just as the wheels left the ground! again AOL user etc some people just cant be told!
