Domain Name Appraisals?

Every buyer has a budget. Nobody knows what that budget is. It will vary from enduser to enduser.
Every seller has a price. They don't know what exactly that price is. It will vary from seller to seller.
Every buyer will have a reason for wanting to purchase. Nobody knows what that is and no two buyers are going to have the same motivation.
If a buyer's budget overlaps anywhere with a seller's price range a sale will occur. Neither will know what those final figures are until negotiation. As no two buyers will have the same prices in mind and no two sellers will have the same expectations and EVERY domain+extension is distinct it is impossible for an automated system to determine what a domain is 'worth'.
Ultimately a domain is worth (to the buyer and seller at least) exactly what was paid for it. As that is the only one of its kind that price is irrelevant to other situations. Even the resale of the *same* domain at a later date can result in wildly different sale prices - that couldn't happen if there was a known set value.

A much more accurate method than Estibot would be the following...
Think of a number between 1 and 10, divide it by the speed of light then multiply by pi then divide it by the number of characters in the domain name then multiply by ten if it is a .com. :)

Joking aside. The above post (Sigh) is spot on.
