after giving 123-reg one last chance for months...

i have moved my domains over to UK Reseller Hosting, Multiple Domain Hosting, Personal Hosting and Domains: Heart Internet

with no problems!

customer support is very quick,
the interface is good,
the domains are cheap,
and they have a "Domain Robot" tool, which basicaly lets you register a domain using email

If you signed up for a reseller package theres even scripts to run you own
domain registration service (using Polyspaston Ltd)

Give it a whirl.. its gotta be better than 123-Reg, and UKREG

Just sold some names to someone who is with them, what are the renewal fees, do you know? 123 add extra...

Also can you do free TAG changes?

Appreciate the feedback...

Thanks for the heads up on this...

They even have an 0845 number (though not for support)....

Also, they appraently charge the same prices at renewal times too...

Will be diggin' deeper with this one...

for your info;

i registered a domain using HeartInternets domain robot
(i made a password protected formmail type script to do this)

and it took 18 secords to show that i registered the domain on a
WHOIS lookup

:)

How bizarre

I thought I would give HeartInternet a try so I filled in all my details on the sign up page, clicked submit, and then was promptly informed that it was not possible because my IP address is not in the UK, France or Germany (I'm in Australia). I mean how amateurish is that, every other registrar that I've ever been with allows anyone in the world to sign up but apparently not them.

Anyone, know of any other so called good registrars for .co.uk domains?

Hi apd,

I would email them, I had a similar issue as I first signed up when I was out of the country. I emailed them and they sorted it for me. They said they had to be careful because of high fraud levels.

cheers,

Jay

Yes, can't trust aussies, convicts you know...

I'm with them, no hassle yet, intregrated bulk forwarding would be a nice addition though.

Not only did I email them but I called them as well and they still couldn't do it, stupid or what. They mentioned something about their software is licensed for use only in those three countries, so if you already have an account with them and you abroad on holiday, you can't get access to your domains until you are back in the UK.

Hi apd,

I just had to call heart about something else and I mentioned your problem.

They said you should now be able to sign up yourself as Australia has been added to the list. If not, if you email them with the details they will sort it for you.

Also they said that once you have a login you can login from anywhere in the world.

Hope that helps.

jay.

Thanks JJ for your help, I've tried it again but it still refuses, looks like I will be taking my business else where.
