Firstly, apologies if this has been discussed before and secondly I'm not sure that "domain wildcard filter" is the correct terminology.
What I would like to find is ............ a search facility where I can type in <say> "yellow" - and the filter returns all the registered domains containing that word so yellowriver, yellowfever, myyellow, would be the output.
Its only the .co.uk's I'm interested in but cant find any such search on Nominet.
I'm new to all this so go easy if I'm asking a dumb question :)

You would probably need the PRSS which would incur the following costs if you are not a nominet member:

Nominet membership - £400 join fee
Nominet annual fee - £100
PRSS annual fee - £400

http://www.nic.uk/other/prss/

probably cheaper to do it by hand :)

some people download the US zone files, replace the .com with .co.uk and scan that.

Will be difficult with only 1,000 whois lookups per rolling 24 hours though.

If you have a domain list, you can use the domain filter tool at www.dntools.co.uk to drill into it.

Thanks for the info - much appreciated.
Think I'll smile kindly on someone who has a prss tool :)
