hello,

I ask a query that a domain with word 'windows' is illegle in the sense of TM Law:confused: ?

thanks

If the word "windows" is used in conjunction with another word/s to make a domain name that is internet/computer related, such as windowscomputer or windowsbrowser etc, then yes, it would be probably be trademarked by Microsoft.

Of course, you can use "windows" in domain names for other things like newwindows, doubleglazedwindows, sashwindows etc, none of which are trademark infringing against Windows.

Under the freedom of speach you can also use things like: windowssucks, etc. ;) even if it's PC related.

Actually there was a college in America where a student had a site called eg, Harpersucks.com after the college called Harper (can't remember the actual name) he got that took off him so i'm sure Microsoft wouldn't have a problem :)
