I'm not sure why it took me quite so long to get around to watching the video interviews on DomainSherpa.com, but this is a fantastic resource, for beginners and experts alike.

If you are just starting out, then the Page Howe interview is simply packed with fantastic advice about domaining.

If you take a look, let everyone know what you think and what you have learnt in the thread.

Very interesting, thanks for posting. The 'holding on to a name for 5 years' thing really struck a chord with me because it's so similar to property, which is my family's background.

I don't really have anything more useful to add because I'm not sure I'll ever get into domaining at that kind of level, but I've bookmarked it - it's always interesting to learn more.

yep, been a fan since Michael launched site
he is relatively new to the domain industry but without doubt best blog/industry site out there
and Michael is a natural interviewer, I actually think he has a future on TV as an interviewer

An interesting point from the Page Howe interview is that he said a few years ago he might not share some of his tactics, because he was still establishing himself. Now however, he is happier to talk about domains, to get the word out to a wider audience.

He's also promoting the .la (Los Angeles) extension. He's looking at LA as a small country, which makes sense really considering it has 9 million inhabitants (if I remember the figure correctly).

I strongly disagree, he has a nack for interrupting people just to reiterate what the interviewee just said. And also reiterating for the sake of reiterating.

Annoys the heck out of me.
