I recently picked up a neat .co.uk domain, I had dropcatcher.co.uk and snapnames.com amongst others on it, snapnames won it.

I am looking at another one which is going soon, but every drop catcher seems to have been booked, i wanted snapnames for obvious reasons!

does anyone have any other ideas on this? is it possible to work out when it will drop? i guess you cant beat an automatic system or can you?

the one that will drop soon :D is worth big bucks!

if the domain in question has a renewal date it is easy to predict the day it will be deleted - but everyone else will know the date and therefore your chances of getting any such valuable name are reduced from very small to virtually zero.

dropping domains

hey think positive, I have four drop catchers on it, I recently picked up a great one this way, I have a chance!

I could make an informed guess here, that the name in question was flyfishing.co.uk, caught by Robert Morrison on Tag = MELITAWEB.

He runs a webhosting company, and has picked up several other good .co.uk names.

well done!

correct, it was flyfishing and i paid way to much to the man from malta for it!

supply and demand I guess, but im very happy with my purchase... :D

this man in malta has a catching script too?

Keys you probably know this - at a guess how many "active" catchers are there for co.uk domains?

The man in Malta has an effective script. He currently has 20 three character .co.uk domains for sale, offers over £6000.

At a guess I would say there currently are around 20 active .co.uk catchers, but it depends how you define active. I reckon three or more catches per month is active.
