I have found a nice .co.uk dropping in 51 days time.

Do i try and catch it or i have the owners contact details, should i offer him 100 pounds cash and risk reminding him or wait and hold out

What are other peoples experiences ?

I can see this name fetching 500 pounds no problem

Hi Doodlebug, if as you say it's a nice name and possibly worth a good few quid, then the chances are that drop catchers with all the fancy scripts will bag it before you get a chance to.

If you contact the person who owns it, as you point out, that will give them a reminder if they forgot and they could renew it, if it's something you really want, probably best to employ the services of a catcher, plenty offer that service on here.

Maybe in my position i would be better hoping for the guy to sell it to me ?

All depends how sought after you think the dn will be. If it's as good as you're describing, the chances are another catcher will beat you to it. Dismiss the catching odds and approach the registrant before the drop.

Owner regged this in 1996 and i can't see them letting it go on purpose ?

Done some research and found the owner lives on a farm, maybe old and died ? Sad but this is business

LBE (forgot his damn forum name) Red something, he caught VIPS and SURREAL recently so look in sales for them to find him.

He seems to one of the faster scripts, and sometimes catches at £50 notes, tell him the day ask him what he has already booked, if he has nothing offer him £100 and see if he will catch just that name that day

Thats how I have caught some by employing a catcher for the FULL day worth.

Considering that I spend at least double what dac hosting would cost each month on names, I can't figure out why my partner is so f'ing resistant to DAC hosting, mother f'er sorry the rant

I think Stender catches for a fee (£30) too, DropSys be back online soon, and Caught and maybe offer Admin and Dragon the same deal for the day or the £30 if mixed with others ?

p.s. sorry if I got anyones prices/names wrong but my memory for names and prices sucks.

If your putting loads of cash in each month on names then setup DAC, i know it aint cheap but anyone seriuos about profiting from domains should use DAC.

I will when the money rolls in much better.

Currently down on my domain investments and need to recoup losses before i profit.

I as others have made mistakes but i am learning fast and changing my approach.

Anyway back to my thread lol I am going to contact owner : with anyone/everyone catching for me i still will probalbly lose
