Do Nominet answer emails at the weekend?

A domain name is dropping on Monday which the current owner has agreed to sell to me but he no longer has an account with the registrar it is registered with so he does not have access to it.

Therefore, I have emailed Nominet to see whether they can postpone the drop until we can resolve the situation but I am concerned that no one will answer any emails until Monday by which point it may have already dropped.
 
They may be able to log in to the Nominet website as Registrant and start the transfer process.
If that can't be done because the domain has been suspended, see if they can chage the tag, change it to mine (OMNIAL) if you like, I'll renew the domain, then they should be able to transfer it to you.
If it works you can donate a fiver to Admin!

If you can't get hold on anyone due to them only working Monday to Friday, there is an out of hours emergency number you can call to get hold of someone.

I'm just in the middle of something at the moment, but it should be on the Nominet site, or I'll have a look in a while as it used to be listed in the online services after logging in but, they might have moved it since they changed the site as I don't recall seeing it.

I was in the same situ and was told by Nominet, "Just wait until it drops on [date] and then re-register it again" LOL
 
Was thinking cosmic_co_uk when I read this thread. Dropped the day after it should have?
 
Yeah I emailed nominet about cosmic.co.uk (amongst others not dropping). They gave me the usual cookie-cutter response that basically says its none of our business if domains obey the drop cycle or not :p
