Ebay urges users to change password after unauthorised access

I ve posted this on another thread but thought its important enough to have a more appropriate thread title to catch peoples attention

I can go on ebay without any request to change my password. Why would it apply to some but not others?!?!

Keep trying it keeps popping up for me, infact it wont even let me change my password just yet (the message just keeps popping up)

Ah yeah, got the prompt but only when I tried to change the password myself. Managed to finally change it, already had different passwords for everything fortunately but was a victim of a hack a while ago when someone got control of my Origin account and proceeded to take control of my email account too (as I had the same password at that time). Now I have reduced my online presence massively and use 'fake' details where ever I know it won't matter.
