I remember it going last year for not a lot of money, which I was very surprised at.

Id like to hope it will make you a good profit on your initial investment but I think it could be a bit of a waiting game rather than a quick sale.

Name domains tend to work in the same way as very good personal number plates. If you find someone with the same name and they are loaded then the sky is the limit!! :)

The only problem I see is that not only is it a Female name but it is also a name that has many different shortened versions.

Good luck.

Can we use this a post for someone knowledgeable to break it down and explain to me exactly where a christian name such as this gets its value?

I looked that one up ages ago and i think it was registered to a hairdresser up north?

Try this!

I dislike that just as much. Firstnames@firstnames and mail@firstnames don't work for me because someone on the end of a telephone is bound to get confused when you say it, think you've said it incorrectly and ask you to repeat it OR worse by substituting the bit after the @ for something else. Also mail@firstname could be confusing for someone thinking you were using the "mail" part to indicate that you can be mailed "@firstname.co.uk" rather than it actually being "mail@firstname" so more explaining to do just to make sure the other party copied it down correctly. I'd have to alias "email" to "mail" just to be sure as well. So overall I dislike it. Of course I am biased as I operate my surname in all the relevant extensions. I just wouldn't want my firstname@myfirstname as an email address.

Totally understand the first name@first name thing - I've found, however, that I give everyone I need to contact me their own 'alias' i.e. britishgas@'myname.co.uk' so I know if anyone has misused the email address and also its nice and personal for them too!

This is the future! - Say NO to spam!

Have a nice day!

Will
