Afternoon,

The labour turnover for estate agents is very high! They are constantly advertising for new employees and estate agents generally keep looking for other jobs while the are in employment!

There were about 1700 searches in yahoo last month for estate agent jobs.

EstateAgentJobs.co.uk & EstateAgentsJobs.co.uk are for sale as a perfectly generic set of names that cover a vast industry in the UK that is perfectly suited to online recruitment. The .com versions are also available for a complete set.

Asking price for the .co.uk pair £5000 with the .coms £15000.

I'm sorry to say but you might have to rethink your strategy when it comes to buying domains (although I can't talk because I've got loads of crap ones), anyway if you're looking to sell those domains here for that price then I'm afraid you're looking in the wrong place.

Possibly the market isn't mature enough yet to pay these figures...but, they are value in my opinion. For a long term online estate agent jobs business this set is perfect. This is much better than any office somewhere. These are the most searched for term(s) in the property jobs sector.

I am open to sensible offers!

I once bought massive.co.uk for £200 for an old business. On that scheme of things your domains are well expensive. Although some of the estate agents I know are that thick they might pay it. ;-)

It costs about £1500 - £2500 for a one page ad in a local paper per week for an estateagent!!! Now think about the omnipresence of the internet and the potential catchment of users/viewers...It's a fair deal.

Recruitment companies get a % of employees wages or a hefty 'finders fee'. A few job placements or a pay-per-ad site and the initial investment should be recouped in 1-2yrs! In a business sense this is a short time - then revenue is mostly profit by it's nature.

Don't get me wrong lex i'm not having a go at you  .

Try buying an email list of estate agents or recruitment companies and take your sales technique direct. It's just hard to get people to see the value in some domains. From a business perspective, you have to actually firstly get people to the website - that might cost you £1000 in a local paper, when you could have been advertising jobs there in the first place.

Your domains cost together £20k. Thats the price of a member of staff for a year.

Anyway, try: http://www.businessmailing.co.uk they sell loads of email lists. It's not strictly spamming, but then not optin either. So take care.

Regards
Johnny

even to a new recruitment company starting up...What are the alternatives?? That's rather low £250.. FinancialJobs.co.uk sold for nearly £2500 this month on sedo??? so....£1000 for the pair of .co.uk's would be, in my opinion, a good deal.

Estate agent jobs gets more searches than property jobs. The majority of people trying to get into the property business want to be an estate agent.

Still worth more than £250 each, let alone the set! In my opinion. As there is no official body for domain name valuations, opinions are what the value is based on along with previous sales. These values are also based on opinions. Advertising in this sector is relatively expensive and a business of this type would do well.

Financial jobs: Extremely lucrative. Headhunters get massive commissions. Always will be plenty of work. Many more employees in this sector than estate agencies.

Estate agencies. Piss poor basic salaries. No commissions usually for finding someone for a job. Lots of pending unemployment. Your .coms only add to the UK value because the US uses the term "real estate".

So both your .co.uk & .com derivatives, plus propertyjobs (if you had it) would still be worth less than financialjobs.co.uk by a fair margin.

Just my opinion, and good luck. You might want to look at domains from an investment point of view rather than a blue-sky point of view? Marketing them for £250/each would still bring you a return of 4000%. Compare that with the stockmarket....
