I'm starting a new brand and as with most good generic words, the .co.uk, .com, .net etc are taken. The .co.uk owner is Another.com and they are asking for offers starting from £8000, which for this 8 letter word, I think is personally overpriced - especially for a .co.uk. The .com owner details are unfortunately hidden with 'PrivacyPost' so I can't make contact.
Anyway, the owner of the .eu has come back to me offering his domain for £XXX, but my question is, are there any downsides from anybody's experience here on using a .eu? I'm not looking to sell the domain but rather build my new business/brand with it, so a lot riding on it to be honest.
Appreciate any opinions...
