Hi,

There's probably been a similar topic made in the past, but as a newbie I've been quite successful over the last couple of weeks just mimicking what other people on the forum are doing haha.

As most of you know, most European city domains are already registered. But I managed to find...

Szczecin/co/uk - 7th Largest City (400,000+ Population) in Poland - 1,900 Exacts
Rijeka/co/uk - 3rd Largest City (130,000+ Population) in Croatia - 1,900 Exacts

Both are really popular holiday destinations for eastern Europeans, not sure about their appeal to people in the UK.

I'm hoping someone here will have a better idea  Thanks.

If you are new, don't reg too many domains before you try selling some of them. When you put stuff up for sale, it's usually a sobering experience.

Unless these two are or are going to become UK tourist destinations, it's unlikely there's much value to them. I would not have regged them myself.

Thanks Rgds. I sold a few domains last week, and I'm only spending the profit I made from them on registering new ones - so I'm just trying to build up a half decent portfolio really...

You mentioned that only names that are UK tourist destinations have value, which is what I thought initially. But out of the 1,000s of cities in Europe with over 100,000 population, very few are still available to register. Why is that?

Probably the gold rush in the early days. Although large city names might have some value. Take a look at domainprices.co.uk for data.

The vast majority of registered domains is garbage. Don't follow the lemmings :p
