Facebook hate campaign makes owner give up!

Do you think she made right decision to close facebook page down?

Yes.

How could it be turned around?

I don't think the situation could. Not through any kind of direct approach, anyway. A certain % of people are irrational, bullies, and the Internet is a fabulous tool to unite them all in the same "room". Once they get a bee in their bonnet about something, that's pretty much game over. Logic doesn't come into it.

Instead, she should concentrate (as her post basically intimated) on turning customers into champions one satisfied person at a time. That will bring new customers through the kind of word of mouth that a negative/smear campaign can't derail because if a friend you trust tells you about or even shows you something fantastic, you don't then go looking at reviews.

Eventually if she perseveres long enough, the troublemakers may give up of their own accord. It can get very empty shouting into a void when nobody is listening. (And it's more fun to find a new target to pick on, one who evidences a reaction)

Good reply Edwin.

Looks like her 'champion' customers have setup a support page which got nearly 500 likes in 2hrs: https://www.facebook.com/JFTPsupport

1,534 Comments on her original post all in support of her keeping her page up.

I think the smear campaign will be closed down, maybe another one will surface but the reaction of most of her customers is an impressive way to deal with it!

The trustpilot page is unreal, an equal amount of 1 star and 5 star reviews! That reeks of tit for tat behaviour, a very strange and sad story.

Or it could be spin play the victim card to cover inadequacies within the business and create a more loyal core customer base that tends to more forgiving etc wouldn’t be the first to play it gets you free advertising to if played well ?

Yes i did think that too, a well planned reverse social media campaign could bring out the most loyal customers to come to your rescue/defence!
