Fasthosts delay today (via Nominet transfer)

Very strange domain transfer today. Purchased a domain here this afternoon, transfer sent and actioned by me just before 5pm, paid £12, etc. Transfer still hasn't been completed due to Fasthosts delay by the looks of it.

When transferring to the FASTHOSTS tag using the Nominet domain transfer system, there's normally a message that says they have to manually approve all of them (or similar) - it normally takes just a few minutes.

This time it's taken hours, I wonder what's up. Anyone else ever seen this with them or another registrar? I've e-mailed to ask in the meantime.

This has reminded me though to apply for my own TAG.

I don't know about FASTHOSTS but have client using LCN and the only way it works is if he adds to his LCN account BEFORE doing the transfer @ Nominet. If do the other way round nothing happens until the transfer expires after 5 days.

In regards to your post, you would need to contact Fasthosts direct, please see the following contact number: 0844 583 0777

The issue is that Fatshosts need to accept domain names onto their tag. Once you give them a call they should accept the domain name onto their tag which will complete the transfer.
