Domain sold and transferred as of yesterday.

Wanted to provide some good news - even if Nom trying to piss on everyone's parade.

Bought for an online delivery service company apparently. They found via type in, but then used our new site (that we finally finished after about 5 years) www.domainnamecompany.co.uk to verify the price we wanted.

Was going to hold out for original £25,000 value, but a bird in the hand and all that - especially in the current market.

Also pays for some new drums thanks to my 6 year old who doesn't know the meaning of not smashing the crap out of them... !

So in the style of Jerry Springer, the lesson is :

It proves that end-users are still out there and still looking - although you may need to relent a little if you want to put the cash in the bank.

Sale

Congratulations and Happy Christmas.

It will be a big set of drums expected in your house and I hope you don't have sensitive neighbours!

Was the domain in use in July 2012 ?

I notice a couple of new trademark applications for fetch ( pharmaceutical)

Nice sale, good for you Will :)

Reminds me of a joke I heard recently........

Paddy took 2 stuffed dogs to Antiques Roadshow

"Ooh!" said the presenter, "This is a very rare set, produced by the celebrated Johns Brothers taxidermists who operated in London at the turn of last century.

Do you have any idea what they would fetch if they were in good condition?"

"Sticks?" Paddy said.

Hmm... must be a pheremone then ;) Imagine seeing that on the shelf ..

"Great for a night out - let Fetch help you get the girl/guy of your dreams" :p

In July - blimey - a redirect to one of my pet sites I think... to be honest i have had a lot of sniffs for domains - but no one wanting to pay even 50% of what they were 12 months ago...

Some of it will definitely be the economic conditions and the more mundane trades and buys lower thanks to Nom - just a perfect storm at the moment really...

Well done, that's a very good sale. Right in time for Christmas too!

Merry Christmas.

Personally, I think if the .uk consultation is changed so that the .co.uk owners get first dibs then people that buy premium .co.uk domains atm could be getting absolute bargains, i.e. 2 domains (co.uk/.uk) for half the value of a single domain (since co.uk value is low atm).

Interesting thought but shows just how rediculous the situation is, that would mean turmoil and massive expense for no justifiable reason.
The more outcomes you envisage the more stupid the whole .uk thing looks.

Poor neighbours! Bigger drums! :)

Ha ha... who said anything about bigger... size isnt everything :P. But louder...

Although the way I play them, I would fear for my neighbours as I am pretty bad and don't practice enough...
