I had a bit of success finding dropped domains with PR through unwanted-domain-names.co.uk. I would just occasionally search for my keywords with their free search tool and it worked fine. However, their free search is no longer available, apparently due to "scrapers".

Now the only option is their paid version at £16 odd per month. For me it's not worth spending that.

My question is this - are there any alternative ways to get that info. I'm not looking for just a list of dropped domains or domains that might drop , but expired domains that had PR when they dropped. Oh and it's UK domains I'm looking for. I've searched using Google but found nothing.

You could take the lists that are about and scan them yourself using Domain Research Tool or something.

Don't dropped domains lose their PR anyway?

The ones that you have regged, did they get much traffic?

I know of an available PR5 but not so tempted to reg it just based on PR.

If you dont want it PM it to me please and I'll reg it for experimental purposes

Might have been interested in that PR5!

The beauty with unwanted-domains is that they would tell you the PR that it had BEFORE it dropped. I'm guessing that DRT tells you the PR at the time of the scan, which if it's dropped will be 0.
I've had quite a few domains regain their PR and retain it after dropping.
Also when scanning with DRT it shows domains that I know are live and have PR as PR0 so not too sure on the reliability of that!
