Forum Now SEO friendly

Sorry for the slight interruption to the forum for the past 30 minutes.

The forum has been modded to use SEO friendly urls for all forums and threads.

There is a mod_rewrite hack for VBulletin that turns the dynamic content into HTML pages that the search engines can index.

For example:

http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=27 is now
http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/f27-forum-news.html

i searched but i cant find one
do you think there is a way to do this using ASP where you dont have access to the IIS etc not ISAPI - shared hosting?

mod_rewrite will be using the *nix htaccess file (I'm assuming here!) so it will be linux only

yeah i had a good look around seems i will have to get my own box to host instead of shared hosting if in the future i want to do this using MS products

You could try this www.helicontech.com if you want to rewrite urls on a windows server.
