The file size for your thumbnails is huge. If you make them (the files, not the images) much smaller, you site will load much faster.

Don't think the script in the header looks very professional.

Hi Bruce,
You were right about the image size , I was just shrinking the full image instead of using a thumbnail.
I've fixed that now and it loads a lot more quickly.
