I assume your e-mail address will be sold to third parties and you will be inundated with spam... but FREE pick and mix. Go Go Go.

* This is my own referral link.

I see this is owned by someone who has lots of domain assets, could always ask him?

I wonder how much an email address is worth to them?

Shouldn't imagine it would run to more than a few gummi bears if postage is included....

Can I have a 10p mix bag please

We don't _do_ referral links on here regardless of whether the site it links to is shit or not. Bad form.

With an obvious disclaimer and a humorous tone - what's the beef?

It is what it is.

Could you direct me to these rules please? I don't recall seeing them when I signed up.

(Seriously - would a polite PM not have been more appropriate? I'm clearly not trying to con anyone.)

It is what it is.

What is it?

1. A blatant and covert attempt to profit from an undisclosed link, or...

2. An amusing post with full disclosure?

Keen to know.

[dta]

personally thought it was rather amusing

It's just a LaunchRock referral link. They attempt to virally spread the news of a launch by getting each person who provides their email to inform others of the same, with the promise of an "early invitation" for the launch of the site.

It's a pretty good service (LaunchRock that is), but rather weak unless it is promoting something very interesting.

Interesting idea on pickandmix.co.uk, run by MT himself or just allowing the use of his domain, does anyone know?

[Aaron Clifford]

Pick & Mix cost's pennies...certainly won't be giving my email address to them for the sake of a 15p bag of haribo fried eggs....

[domainseller200]

I might register freepickandmix.co.uk (FTR) and try to sell it to Toth at the same price levels he wants for his names

That should make it worth around £50k at least
