Is there any fee/charge involved to make an internal push of .co.uk domain name? I have sold a.co.uk name to a person. He’s got an account with the same registrar I have. Can’t I make an internal free push the way we do for .com domains? Cheers

Hi Sage, as far as I have seen, most registrars seems to allow a free push from one account to another, well they certainly do on Dynadot and 123-reg, and GoDaddy as far as I know, don't see why other registrars should do it any differently. There should be a transfer/push to another user link in your control panel at your registrars, if you post who it's registered with, someone should be able to give you a definitive answer.

Hi Mate,
It is with Godaddy but I was referring to Nominet? Am I supposed to pay Nominet any fee to push the name to the new buyer? Can’t I do it in a simple and free of charge way the way I do for .com?

I think around it's £10.00 plus vat for one domain, or if there is more than one, then more than one can be transferred for one price of £10 (if they are from the same person to another person)

I see, thought by the way you worded it you meant a registrar.

In that case, no, either you or the buyer has to pay the Nominet transfer fee of £10 + VAT, when you login to the Nominet online service, click on the Registrant Transfer link on the menu bar, then add the domain name you wish to transfer and hit submit, on the next page you verify the correct domain for transfer and hit submit, on the next page, you enter the email address of the person you are transferring the name to, and under that are two check boxes, one says you will pay the transfer fee, and the other says the receiver will pay the fee, choose one or the other, then it's 2 more clicks to confirm and the Nominet transfer email with a payment link gets sent to the buyer if you chose for them to pay the fee.
