Freelancer will acquire Escrow.com for US$7.5 million, the ASX-listed skills marketplace said today.

interesting but I always feel payment providers should be independant of these 'freelance' type of sites, plus also escrow is used for other purposes than just freelance payments

That seems a bit low as well. Maybe they are just one of those companies that people know of, but never use.

If fees charged were 3% (I know they can be lower), then that's income of £7,950,000 for 2014. The gross / net profit must be terrible to sell for less than 1 years income.
