Funny local story

Haha, that bouncy castle wouldn't have done a thing, with car parks being the tall structures that they are, from that height, he still would have been dead even with the castle in the way, no way near thick enough to take a weight from that height.

Surprised there wasn't a load of blow up sheep tied together to form a nice soft pleasureable landing :)

Saw a clip on the Tv of a lad jumping from a garage onto a bouncey castle - he got more height than the garage he jumped off.

The best thing to brake a fall like that is a load of cardboard boxes stacked to about ten feet high. Plenty of those near a shopping centre, but they'll have all been folded up for recycling. They should keep some unfolded for emergencies ;)

So he was up there for 7 hours and never jumped? Nothing more than a silly old attention seeker, inconveniencing everyone around him and wasting thousands of pounds of taxpayers money.

If I was in charge of the local police I'd tell him he had 20 minutes to either go ahead and jump, come down on his own, or we're sending someone up to push him...

There is a film (not sure of it's name) about people jumping from the San Fransico bridge. They spent a year filming people commiting suicide, the rescue attempts etc.

What they quickly found was that 99% of those that actually did it, would just get out there car walk straight upto the barrier and jump. Those that didn't do it would stand on the edge for a couple of hours and then be talked down, more a cry for help.

I love this story though,

It certainly is link bait gold for the woman who owns the bouncy castle company. Makes me want to come up with a completely fake one of my own. Any suggestions on how a payday loan or discount voucher saved someones life? :D
