Hi Guys,

Recently started developing this site:

Garden Tools

Got plans to expand the content and maybe even add a business directory.

It's a pretty simple design at the moment, just trying to build up traffic.

Any ideas/feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Ben.

Congratulations on an excellent site. uncluttered, easy to navigate, visually a good looker and well presented.

Nice use of links to products though personally I would make the sales items easier to access , i tried clicking for more information and my popup blocker disabled any further navigation (get rid of rotating widget, replace with static thumbnail pic & product description and of course, a buy it basket or link to aff site what ever it is you use)

I would be very happy to use your template if it were available

I like the fact you have put a decent amount of content on there :)

Nice domain aswell, when web users click for eg, chainsaws can you not have an image of a chainsaw at the top instead of a lawnmower ?

It was a recent purchase - 12 years old this year!

Got more images and content to put on when I get some free time...

I like the fact that it gets decent exacts and covers a wide area.

Other sites I have been developing are more niche/product specific.

I'm still experimenting with affiliate models but it takes time to hand code content, feeds are easier but agreed they current ones do look naff.

It's not a template, all hand coded.

Thanks for the feedback, any relevant link exchanges please PM me.

First impressions are important and this site immediately looks good

A bit anal but I feel it needs a standard footer on all pages ;) <<< after typing this I noticed the site is struggling with your feed to java script (feed2js.org) and stops the footer (you do have) from loading or takes an age to load.

Anyone else see that issue?

But Yes first impressions do count, so fix the feed issue and then a green thumbs up from me :D well done great design.
