No, I am sure someone would be far better off with bobscarshop.com , and owning car.com would not give any targetted traffic at all.

He is forgetting how sites get to the top of search results. Car.com will get more people naturally linking to it than DavesCarShop.com and therefore will always (mostly) be higher ranking.

I don't really understand the point of that article.
