After having a site drop out of the SERPS, I made some changes (I had overstuffed the keywords a little) and applied for a reconsideration request, this they say can take a few weeks (vague), received a reply today to say they had looked at the site and completed evaluation for reconsideration, that's about it, nothing to say that it was ok, or not ok, or what are/were the issues if any at all (vague). The webmaster pages are so general and (vague).
Webmasters need to know how they can fix any problems that the big 'G' has with their site, vagueness is useless and frustrating, in many cases the site that may have caused offense to 'G' could be the livelyhood of that person or persons.
On another note I set up a adwords ad on the 1st of March, the ad was under review until today, 33 days!.
I sent an email to the adword team after about 3 weeks asking when my ad might be reviewed, the reply was a copy and paste from the help documentation, and a link to the help pages, patronizing vagueness.
Geting a bit sick of 'G's axe wielding monopolising vagueness.
