Getting Advertisers

I've now got about 100 sites with worthwhile content on and a mass of traffic over lots of niches.

Got adsense on the sites, and some affiliate programmes but whilst I further develop them would love to get a few direct advertisers. I've seen one or two sites that act as advertisement exchanges, but before I go signing up to loads of them can anybody recommend anything that works really well for UK traffic?

The only thing I found is advertising exchanges start you off at a pitiful CPC rate.

I spoke to Ad Jug but they only wanted to start at 50p per thousand impressions. Sites I own show over 200,000 views a month, but they only wanted 40% of this (80,000 impressions) so over a month I'd only earn £40 a month for this much traffic....

You could always contact relevant companies. Difficult given the climate (have niche sites with lots of, fairly established, companies contacting us all wanting free exposure but very few willing to pay)

Sign of the times I guess - and the fact some companies still love splashing out thousands of bucks for print adverts for a few hundred readers but balk at spending £xx for thousands upon thousands of eyes!
