Well I am still reeling from it. I see some news and realise
that I am due £50 and then I contact the company and
they say there is no way they will pay. What do I do ?.
I just think of all the domains I can buy,lol . Anyone know
a good lawyer ?.

DG

If the debtor company has assets, and your case is strong or already won in court, then you should be able to find formidable lawyers to act for you on a percentage of the settlement they can extract.

No doubt, a company with a multi million dollar debt will prefer to exhaust all other options before handing over the cash, and with such relatively high stakes I am sure they will be as slippery as a bucket full of eels.

in any bankcrupt case there are only 2 people who get their money in the end

the bank
and lawyer

:D

Lol, yes agree with both of you. By the way I wasnt trying to boast
or anything (what about having a big debt !). Yep I shall have to
see if I can at least get some of it as they are far from bankrupt, just dont
wanna pay me !,

DG

US$17M !!!!!!

Is everyone super rich around here  as no-one seems to even blink an eye when people talk in millions... or even hundreds of thousands.

If someone owed me £17 i would be going mad

Perhaps you should supply a list of your domains for sales, with prices. I have been tempted by the odd few.

I wish i had any worth anything... They were all registered in a moment of madness :)

chipped.co.uk - £100

The rest im not fussed what i get for them...

bettaker.co.uk
gaminguk.co.uk
pttmobiles.co.uk
soaked.co.uk
animatrix.co.uk
bettingroom.co.uk
oldcomputer.co.uk
retrocomputer.co.uk
retroroms.co.uk
freeroms.co.uk
vodaporn.co.uk
wwwblog.co.uk
allcreditcards.co.uk

over21s.com
flitting.com
ukbookmaking.com
ukonlinemarketing.com
ukphoneparts.com

I did manage to sell oldgames.co.uk for £500 on sedo.. just waiting for nominet to transfer it over.

I do have some others but i think they maybe worth something in a few years.

There are a few good names on your list vintage and would depend
on finding the right buy whos has a purpose in mind. By the way,
im not super rich, YET, but will be if I get this £50 (got an
appointment with solicitor next week ).Doubt ill get it all by any means
though

Thanks mate, i suppose after a while unsold domains dont look so good!.

Wish you luck with getting whats owed to you, surely with that type of money involved they must have to pay??? Its no joke!!!

No problem. To be honest I have been buying and selling domains
for around 6-7 years now and im kind of addicted. At the end of the
day youve got to think "what am I buying this domain for" and that
will hopefully concentrate your mind on whether the name you are
about to register is worthwhile. i.e. if you register "discount-hotel-rates"
you really are registering a domain that will be good for getting
hits from search engines, but i dont think will be as easy to sell
to someone else as you couldnt brand it. If on other hand you register "easyhotelreservations " you will have a name that will be both of interest
to hotel owners and get hits from search engines and is brandable
(or so Easy Group would claim).
Thanks and I will collect in due course im sure. If I do I wil treat
the whole forum to a slap up meal.

i must have missed something here - what do they owe you $17m for?

Good advise mate, it gives me a new perspective on how to choose which domain names are worth registering.

Im an absolute beginner at this so i guess i can only get better at it with experiance.

..... Looking forward to the slap up meal, ill keep my eyes open for the limo pulling up!!! :D

Ive been working on some business project for about 3 years
with no pay only commission. The deal came off for them through
my work and they said there was no agreement.

DomainGenius ... do you actually own any domain names?

I would be helpful if we can see how you are utilising banners etc then can offer advise however not one post has a url in it :?:

Yes a few, but Im shy, lol.

DG

No too shy to post about $17,000,000 owed to you ... oh, thats edited to £50 now ;)

You dont happen to own a fair number of domains relating to legal instituions do you?!

I feel I ought to do the 'You are Kolly Kibber I claim my five pounds....' ;)

Seriously though, lots of people around here are more than happy to help but timewasters are just that.

Cheers,
Rob.

And by the way ,this board is not a board for you to vent your
frustrations on either ,its about domains so lets cut the personal
knocking ,ok. and yes I was wrong to post about the money coz
of people like you I guess.

I am not the one who posted asking for help trying to reclaim $17,000,000 :p

To be honest a UK specific domain forum is not really somewhere I would consider asking either :)

I think you might have taken my comments the wrong way, the only frustrations are when advice is offered but ignored or people post with no intention of listening to suggestions.

This thread however is just providing some light amusement on a sunday evening...

Cheers,
Rob.

Hot on the delete / edit buttons I see
