Apparently it's now live in the UK, anyone joined/using it?

Any thoughts or comments about joining it good or bad?

Thanks

Aiden

Not many UK merchants yet but I expect it will change soon. Have been using for a couple of US merchants for some time and it's OK - the real benefit is that you get paid via your adsense account which makes it easy to manage.
Oh, and you do get paid as well (unlike with a lot of other networks who'll allow a merchant to go elsewhere with unpaid bills).

Hang on, google the people that hate affiliate sites have there own program?

How on earth does that work?

I thought it looked a bit light on merchants, as you say that will change. I like the idea of being paid via adsense but would be concerned about putting all my eggs in one basket, especially as accounts seem to get closed without warning. I suppose if used sensibly it's not a bad thing.

Thats the official, which means hey this hasnt taken off as well as we would have liked, lets pretend its a UK launch now and get some attention.

Google bought a company called Doubleclick, which had an affiliate network called Performics, which Google renamed as Google Affiliate Network about four or five years ago.

They are advertising in the US as they are in $ not £ but if you have posted proof that settles it then.

4 or 5 years, wow Bruce, Paul and all his friends have never heard about it.

Asking for proof felt pretty uncomfortable, very unprofessional for a site moderator when a couple of clicks could have found you the proof.

I would say nearly sherlock, but more like inspector clueso

I think it is different when you are pestering other members for proof for things when they post so it is only fair to ask you dont you think.

ah the moderator card - very original.

I edited out immediately the joke post, but seeing as you quoted it

Its back.

I aask for prooof when I see a scam or attempt to deceive.

Every time I have been correct and lots of scammers have disappeared, funny how I never saw any posts from you in those making sure your members are safe. And I will continue to do so.

I'm first to say if I'm wrong, but seems everyone I complain about or ask for proof quits as a member soon after.

While I'm talking about it, some forums have moderators who hone in on these things straight away, here it seems the users do in the main.

Only the other day there was a guy saying he had £1600 worth of adsense earnings, which was shown in the section of adsense 'potential earnings'

As we all know, these are always over by a country mile, yet no one questioned it. I cant find my post asking for proof in that one, but come on.

what i am saying caz is if you are wanting people to post proof which could be right or wrong, dont feel uncomfortable when someone asks you or get on your high horse.

As I have just said, when I have asked for proof, the users have gone awol, you asked for proof about the giant that is Google, with openly available information only a click away.

I posted it straight away with no qualms.

I only mentioned feeling uncomfortable afterwards, seeing as you had said you and your friends had never heard of it, I'm always being told how knowledgeable you are and switched on by Anthony, so things didnt add up.

Anyway, I've put my handbag down so if you put your man bag down, the tennis match can end.

You know I love you, 15 love you :D

I think the distinction is that instead of just being US focused they have now moved into the UK market with a view to getting UK specific merchants on board. This is a big change.
If you think they are going to fail then I'll meet you here again in 12 months and see what you think then.
