Google Apps

I use it (the free version) for a couple of domains.

Being able to use gmail with your own .co.uk's is nice, IMAP is also now available on gmail which is always nice. The only bad side of it really is having the gmail adverts displayed, but if your using POP or IMAP then you'll never have to encounter them.

As for the other parts of google apps, i've tried them out a little but I think in order to really benefit from them you would need to be using them in a shared environment. There is however a basic webpage builder part which I haven't used myself, but would assume is fairly useful for doing basic things.

Not sure I would use the gmail in a commercial setting, I wouldn't like business emails to be stored anywhere but on a server in the UK that I can manage. Down to preferences I suppose :)

I understand a number of larger businesses and organisations are looking at using it, not just for email, for web hosting which is free and email... I understand to add a domain name all you need do is change DNS

It might be worth looking at in more detail at some point, however, like you I have reservations!
