Hello All,

Is Google page rank still vitally important? I'm guessing it is important in some respects, otherwise why have any rankings in the first place. But how vital is it?

Some of my domains have recently received a lower page rank. Has there been another recent Google algorithm that adversely effects domains/websites and totally bamboozles everyone?

If page rank is hugely important, how do you go about finding out why your ranking has dropped and how do you go about recovering it to it's former glory?

page rank means nothing nowadays. Domain authority is a much better measure.

Write for users first. Guess how many average users care for PR?

Page rank is pure vanity. Nothing else. But if you try using that vanity with people who know, then you look like a twat.

Its so easy to fake it, that doing a due-diligent with any PR domains is always advisable.

Yours have probably dropped, as the links coming in have fallen in number (sites going down, or changing) and haven't been replaced with new links.
