Google search .... bit pants imho

Howdy all

Is it just me, or is google not as useful as it used to be?

I'm not talking about google from an affiliate/domaining angle .... but as a day to day 'normal' user

The last few months, I've tried finding solutions to printer problems, medical things (yes, I'm a hypochondriac!), local restaurants, days out ..... loads! And my search results have been pants. I give up after 5 pages of seeing the same website appear over and over again.

Is it just me?

I expect you're just not using it right ... you're supposed to click on the ads, not the normal results

What pi**es me off is theses >

Search for an a answer and ask.com or similar comes up and the page simply consists of a question with underneath saying ' this question has not been answered yet or be the first to answer this question '

The other day I searched for places to go in Manchester or something like that and it ranked a site like dayoutguide.co.uk at numbers 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16

You search for an article on something and it comes up with forum posts from 2003.

Google are not pi**ing me off as much as Yahoo at the moment with their pop out ads and not being able to click anywhere on your screen because of a wallpaper style ad
