Google re-ranked all sites on the internet today!!!
So sites went up and some went down check yours and others out!!!!

Post here if good or bad

I have pagerank.me.uk and it's a PR5 now so slightly happy with that one. :D

Posted in 2 threads so people don't miss this

I've noticed that all of my sites with Whypark have gone from Google too :(

unbelieveable ,

my design site is now a page rank 3 and my games site a pr2
one of my whypark sites has dropped from pr2 to pr1
some of my nd parked domains have gained a pr of 2

admin should be happy acorn is now a pr5, it was a pr4 before (i think).

Are you talking about pagerank? if so yes it was updated this week and many sites dropped, that doesn't relate to organic ranking though, Google updates earch results every day.

Yes Page Rank - I hope everyone knows about the organic ways of Google Besides PR.

And thats true about Google changing daily, but it is nice to see more green on your bar isn't it :) , also it's nice to think Google rates your site better than 0

Might be a man thing :p a bit like what car you drive.

admin,

Don't worry it'll make a 10 (once I get my gamesadrenalin.com setup I'll have a link to acorn in the footer of each page)

pr 5

lots of sites are stuck at PR4. is it just me but its seems hard to get that 5 or will it come in the end?

Well not sure what the whole story of PR ing but I got PR5 with a few tricks of my own.

Started PR0 a few months ago PR5 today pagerank.me.uk ;)

Not sure what other people are trying or doing to get higher rankings.

If PR means that much to anyone I have a PR6 mini site that was a PR6 before the update and still is a PR6, available for $6000 - just imagine the links you could sell from it now ;)

And still my PR3 site makes much much more

Maybe it's a status thing (Like look at my site Google thinks it's important :p ), maybe it's to help get indexed quicker or more often.

Who knows ? Who cares? A lot actually ;)

Just read this thread... one of my sites has been stuck on PR1 for a long long time... Its now a PR4! Thank you very much Google! :)

Not sure if this is correct or a guesstimation but I found this on the net a while ago:

Page Rank Calculation:

BL-PR3 BL-PR4 BL-PR5 BL-PR6 BL-PR7 BL-PR8
PR1 555 3,055 16,803 92,414 508,277 2,795,522
PR2 101 555 3,055 16,803 92,414 508,277
PR3 18.5 101 555 3,055 16,803 92,414
PR4 3.5 18.5 101 555 3,055 16,803
PR5 1 3.5 18.5 101 555 3,055
PR6 0.5 1 3.5 18.5 101 555
PR7 0.5 0.5 1 3.5 18.5 101
PR8 0.5 0.5 0.5 1 3.5 18.5
PR9 0.5 0.5 0.5 0.5 1 3.5
PR10 0.5 0.5 0.5 0.5 0.5 1

This table shows back links (BL) required from a PR rated site to gain the PR listed at the top of the table. i.e.: to gain a PR3 you would need just one back link from a PR5, or 3.5 backlinks from PR4 sites or 555 PR1 backlinks.

If anyone can clarify or add to this that would be great...

Rich

ok rj,

i thought i'd check this out

i've three sites :-

bikinistofit.com - currently parked at nd - pr2 8bls - indexed in goolge
bikinistofit.co.uk - ditto - pr n/a 2bls- not indexed in google (was previuosly)
bikinistofit.me.uk - ditto - pr n/a 8bls - not indexed in google (was previuosly)

all were registered new at the same time in sept 07, and all share the same amount of backlinks except for the .co.uk that has 4 less backlinks than the others.

the only ranking pr site on the above links is acorn.

do you think goolge is giving preference to .coms?

Hi,
We have dropped PR but improve on results.
Who knows what is going on.

I set up two near identical sites about 2 months ago, with equal links, very similar content etc and the PR changes suggest that page visits and/or bounce rate are of more relevance to PR than to organic rank. There might be other factors I have not noticed, but one site ranks high, page one for most terms and has a low PR, the other site ranks lower, but has more traffic and lower bounce, due to offline marketing, and has a higher PR.
