Hi,

I'm completely new to this World, so new that up until 2 days ago I hadn't even considered purchasing any domains. I registered latebid.co.uk yesterday & I've probably jumped the gun a bit by not researching/reading up but it felt good!

I've got sales experience so approaching end users is fine for me so I'll probably just register a few more and see if there's any interest.

Hope to speak to all soon!

Cheers TheNightfly.

I'll be the 1st to admit I've got lots of learning to do but I can already see this "hobby" becoming habit forming!

Indeed a warm welcome.

I'm trying to understand your logic with the domain registration "latebid" but I have to say it's passed me by completely. I appreciate someone has put some encouraging words down in the appraisal section - and given you've also put it into auction at domainlore, I'll reframe from making any further comment on that particular domain.

A sales background does indeed help when it comes down to the ability to communicate at different levels but you really need to nail-down your direction and scope in domain investments first.

I hope your learning curve dosen't become to expensive. (we all paid a certain price - I can assure you) The mistakes you make providing you understand the wheres and whys become some of your best long term investments (the learning curve) Just hopefully not to many

Thanks for the welcome and advice

Sensible words, I'm sure I'll refer back to them several times along this journey.

Regarding your logic question, there was none. It was a completely impulsive purchase!

Thanks again,

Careful now! Don't register too many names to begin with. Register new names slowly, put your effort into selling. Try and sell at least one of your new names before regging too many, it's a great learning experience.

Rgds

Thanks for the tip. The (as yet unformulaled) plan was never to go on a mad shopping spree. I've started compiling a list of other available domains but I'm Gonna look at as many angles as possible before committing.
