Hi guys,

I have been researching and thinking about buying and selling domains for a while now and I have decided to take the plunge.

This website seems great for info and for me to develop knowledge.

OK so with regards to the best/worst domains, I have only brought 4 to date and they probably are not the best, so here they are;

r4e.co.uk
childrenbook.co.uk (currently up on domainlore - no bids yet :()
liverpoolcatering.com
and bestmobilenetwork.co.uk

I would really appreciate and feedback you have on these, as I thought these were great initially but maybe that's not the case.

Speak to you soon.

Tom.

Welcome Tommy :)

I would try and avoid something like ChildrenBook, definitely has to be Plural as ChildrensBook or ChildrensBooks.

These BestBlahBlah type names do work in .com quite often, but not so much in the .co.uk., I'm sure some do work but many don't.

The biggest lesson to learn, is if it smells of trademark or brand name, don't waste your money :)

Brilliant, thanks for the heads up.

I wondered why a lot of the branded domains were free...

Welcome

I see you already know about domainlore.

It's good to watch on there what sells/what doesn't to get a feel of potential value for domains.

Welcome Timmy. Only exceptional two word brandable domains in .co.uk have any resell value so anything just good or decent is more a hold and hope for end user really. As Murray keep an eye on DomainLore sales to get an idea of potential domain values.

Thanks,
Dave
