Yes, I have joined your community - and from what I have read it's one of the web's more friendly and informative sites. Thank you for having me! ;-)
Anyway... of the 60 or so URL's I've acquired, the better ones would probably be shu.sh , singlenation.co.uk , theservice.co.uk , town247.co.uk... the worst... mmmm that'll be batteryoperatedboyfriend.co.uk ... less said about that the better!
Personally, I'm bagging most for actual usage in the future (unless someone would like to make me an unrefusable offer! ;-))
I do believe that as the world gets online these domains will increase in value and it'll be a fair few years until we see some decent returns on investments... and as for swines taking them off you because of registered trade marks etc... totally sucks - there needs to be a system by which if the URL is not being used then a fixed price... say £5K is paid to the owner... - if they're gonna spend mega money on the business, the most important part of the profile is the domain name - pay what you should for the name... or get one that no one else has got! If its being used then ... get stuffed?
