I'm a fan of domains and fascinated by their history(like the first ones sold) and what some go for. I'm not looking forward to the "eveyone role your own tld" thing icann is doing though, I find it unnecessarily confusing and self defeating of the current system. Also I'm into web dev too, so am glad I found this forum, looks to have a lot of quality. Thanks

Welcome GMT. I'm sure your opinion regarding your opinion on the upcoming expansion of GTLDs is shared among the forum. Completely Unnecessary as you say and can do nothing other than confuse users. Just hoping things aren't made even worse with Nominet releasing a .uk extension.
