I am new to all of this, however I have always been interested in trying to make a few quid from a few websites which I have used to sell items etc.

This is the first time I have purchased a couple of domains because I think I will be offered a better price at a later stage. Just purchased
www.eastgateecovillage.co.uk this is to be the name of a massive eco village, possibly the largest in the UK.

Purchased through 1and1 and will just add a page giving my details etc.

Am I entering this in the right way do you think?

Try and put some relevant content on the page with good keyword usage. This will help you get into google listings. Potential buyers will find you easier if your sole intention is to try and sell for a profit.

p.s. I'd recommend trying other registrars such as ukreg.

Thanks for the advice, Ill get on and add some better info onto the site. I was a bit lost as to who to purchase from but went for 1and1 only because I had an online shop with them previously and they were not bad and they got a deal to purchase .co.uk for 99p for 1st year then 2.99 for second. I'm guessing thats not bad but I am an absolute amature

Take Richard's advice and move away from 1&1 as quickly as possible! There support and service has a very bad reputation... the cheapest isn't always the best!

Thanks for the advice already, Ive just set up a holding page with basic details on. I have encountered my first 1and1 problem already. I went to update and launch my old site and they have no record of it, they have said the tag is no longer on the account and I must contact nominet to sort it out, without much success. Has anyone come across this before?
