I'm inclined to be agree with you, although it is possible the seller is cash rich and an offer of £4.7m is not enough to motivate a sale.

If they were that cash rich and didn't need the money, I doubt they would be actively trying to sell it on. I very much doubt they have had an offer for £4.7m and turned it down. A sale of this amount would make it one of the most expensive domains to ever be sold.
 
Perhaps because of the new gtld of the same name they figure the .com will always hold a particular floor value.

Exactly.... there is no way they actively looked to sell it and then turned down an offer of £4.7m. They must think everyone else is stupid if they expect us to believe that :-P

I'm not saying this is definitely the case, but it is all relative.

I have names that I would potentially market for £5k but would decline an offer of £1k. Its the same scenario except with more zero's
