Hi Guys,

A few days ago I bought horseracingtips.org.uk here. I checked out a number of wordpress themes and finally found one that I think fits the bill. Of course there is effectively zero content there right now, but that should change over the coming weeks. Please feel free to let me know what you think of the horse racing tips site thus far. I'm quite excited about its potential!

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your comments. I've run adsense ads on gambling sites before. My understanding was that as the site targets a UK market, it should be okay. Also, it is gambling themed, but does not directly host any gambling services. It is simply delivering advice and news. f course if anyone has any additinal comments relating to this area I'm pleased to hear them.

Good site with great potential. You will find relevant stuff on Clickbank with some nice commission amounts.

OLBG has a great free tips service, with an affiliate program OLBG Affiliate Program

Good luck with the site.

Yes, I'm exploring a number of angles. Family members actually run a (currently) free tips service, so there are a number of angles that I can approach this. There are of course also the 'free bet' type offers from ladbrokes and co, so that's another affiliate angle. It'll no doubt take quite some time t make a splash though, that's where mst of the world will no doubt come in. Thanks for commenting.

Nice site.

Google's situation on gambling websites is a little unclear.

Are All Gambling and Casino Related Sites Not Allowed? - AdSense Help

You will need to check this out to be sure you are not breaching their terms. Anyone here know the latest situation on using Adsense and gambling websites?

May be worth finding out. I ran a poker instruction website. Instructions and hints about playing the game of poker. I actually contacted Google to ask whether they would permit adsense (even though I was sure it would) and they said no - as playing poker would be considered a form of gambling so they advised me not to use adsense on the site.

Good point cc976a. Adsense is effectively going to be a minor element of what I intend (well even more minor is it's against their terms :)), but I take on board that this is something I should look into now rather than later.

I think it's outrageous that they didn't allow your poker hints site, but I guess it is what it is.

Paypal for instance, have suspended US sites buying/selling gambling text links, but apparently do not do the same with UK sites. Perhaps google should take the same tack.

Send an email off, so hopefully it'll bring sme clarity to this matter. One thing I noticed though, is that companies such as William Hill (in the UK) use adwords to advertise, and they surely had to be accepted into the program.

Nice site and theme. Your AdSense is showing betting sites served up by AdWords so I wouldn't think there's a problem.

Thanks for your comments :). Yes, that promptes my previous post. I assume that it's a geographical issue and that if I or the site was US based, that's the only time an issue would occur.

Check out onlinebettingexposed - the guy (Paul & his partner) used to make an absolute bomb (ie $50K+ in sales per month at 50% commission) from clickbank type products.

The site doesn't look to be up to much now though.
