How can I offer email addresses on my domain?

I've seen it mentioned before on here where someone was looking to buy funny domain names like fatbastard.co.uk with a plan to sell email addresses.

Any idea how I can implement a system on my own domains (for one of my forums)

Just be careful of abuse. Might turn in to a nightmare if you get a few rouge sign ups.

I've tried this before but it always fell down because spammers use these vanity email addresses as their 'reply to:' address. I have aliases.net doing nothing which would be a great umbrella for this, but I have had a bad experience before with spam. I do do it for candidates at engineers.net and it's a good way to promote your site. The way I do it is to host the domain MX records with FastMail.fm and adding an alias and redirect is dead easy. If only you could get people to pay a little -- but they won't
