how do I correct info on whois ?

I regged a domain using my TAG and I have put the wrong registrant name in tio the whois. How do I correct that since the domain is now in wrong clients name ?.

You need to contact Nominet and prove to them that what you're saying is true.

If you haven't paid the Nominet invoice yet you could delete and re-reg it using the correct details. Failng that you will have to do an official transfer which could be a problem if the current registrant details are incorrect.

But be careful when you delete/rereg.

And if you choose that method, don't let anyone know which domain it is beforehand.

I know of this happening before...

The problem is that it's very difficult to prove that a person doesn't exist and furthermore that you are that person but operating under a wrong name (for whatever reason). And, as a tag holder, you should know better .

You need to speak to Nominet about it, but ask to be referred to their Legal Department rather than letting a numpty in Registrant Services balls it all up for you.

If your story checks out you will be asked to sign an indemnity to cover Nominet's arse should the real registrant ever turn up and say "where's my domain name". Of course you shouldn't be worried about signing this if the current registrant name doesn't exist.
