when Whois is blocked? I've tried G'ing their name but no joy. It's a co.uk.

Anyone got any tricks up their sleeve?

Lots of things you can try, feel free to PM or email me the name in confidence Marcus.

I quite enjoy the detective work. We should have a competition on here. Anyone got a domain they haven't been able to track down the owner of and willing to post? we can then see who can dig up the most details.

good idea, offer a reward too to whoever gets the key bit of info :)

Owner found guys. Thanks everyone for your input. The competition thing sounds like fun by the way. Maybe it should have its own thread!

A competition eh? Sounds fun:) I once went through g earth street view to get a phone number off of a sign to find a contact for a specific name... Levelbusiness.com also works well.

Anyone else think this could get a bit dangerous in terms of what you could dig up!?

Maybe when someone posts one to find, then they put guidelines on the type of info to retrieve? eg. Address, work number, office picture, other domains etc.

I rarely search for domains so don't have any.
You wouldn't have to post sensitive data, you could pm details to an ajudicator or hash out parts.
Was just a suggestion, I should be doing other things anyway.
