For one of my clients I track 180 keywords/keyphrases. they bounce around all month by a few places, some might even drop or gain 20 or 30 places but usually end up pretty much where they started depending on efforts that month.

Yes that's some dance. Not too surprising with over 200 ranking signals and over 500 algo tweaks a year, you do the maths. I prefer this kind of graph though....its one of my clients keyterms, life would be nice if they all had this..

some interesting patterns in there tbh, 3rd of the way from left, some change increasing rankings, middle the same changers move gradually back down, rest below that is make ur own luck, top 10 quite stable though

Whenever Google Launch any Algorithm update, sometimes website’s ranking start fluctuating. This process continues during the algorithms rollover period. This ranking fluctuation period depends upon the algorithms type. It can be for 4 to 5 days, sometimes it also took around 20 to 30 days.
