How long until WHOIS updated?

Hi,
anyone out there know this one? just bought a domain via sedo. it is in 123 account & have control of it but not showing in whois. It went in yesterday morning, & whenever i reg a domain normally, the whois is instant. The whois on my domain i still showing marius wuerzner at sedo as owner? Is this normal? If not do i contact sedo, or 123? Please don't say 123 !:mrgreen:

If it's a uk, have you completed and sent the transfer form to nominet?

If it's a .com etc, you should be able to edit the whois details via your 123reg control panel

Hi Fred,
Thanks for posting. I knew .co.uk's get done by nominet auto. It is a tld though & thought that was auto too. Found out earlier you can update via the control panel. Tried to update, doing everything right with all the right fields completed, but 123's system is not allowing it. It is just saying, failed to update, error was malfunction......
I guess it's their system again. Normally when transferring ,registrars ask you to enter security id, transaction codes & then for. info & org i think, auth codes! 123 asked for none of these. Either they do it for you, or it is very lax!
