How many extensions to buy?

If you're seriously going to use them for a company then definitely buy the .net, .org and .org.uk too. If it's going to be your future companies name it makes no sense leaving them for someone else to register for the sake of £15-£20

Another vote for getting them. It will be more hassle down the line if you don't.

Even if you change your mind later on, you'll have a nice set of names to sell.

thanks both, I think I'll definitely get the .net and .org

It's knowing where to draw the line I suppose as .co .eu .biz .info might be overkill!

Without knowing all the details it's impossible to give appropriate advice, but what I would say is that the .com and .co.uk will let you "own" the brand, so you could wait until you have established that the business will be successful before picking up the lesser extensions.

Agree with accelerator. Forget all the other extensions outside of .com/.co.uk unless you have a specific association or development that naturally associates with another extension
