i got a new laptop, i put drivers on a usb stick, put in my old ssd hardrive in laptop

I can see the Samsung ssd as disk 0 on performance on task manager

How do I boot the laptop from the ssd?

I'm pressing f2 when it's starting, I'm looking at boot sequence it only has windows boot manager, legacy and uefi

it won't let me select legacy instead of uefi

There's no options anywhere to select where to boot from

I have tried googling and looking in YouTube but nothing is helping me

Any help appreciated

Did you sort this?

Yes thanks, I had to press f12 and then choose the option to boot with safety off

Then when I restarted and pressed f12 again it then had the option to choose the SSD

The problem I've found now is using windows 7 on the ssd, I can't seem to get any drivers from dell that work, I just get error messages after d/l even when they say they're compatible for windows 7

Why are you using windows 7? Is that what was on the ssd? Did your new laptop have a newer version of windows?

I'm not a fan of change, windows 7 was fine so didn't see a need to "upgrade" to windows 10. I just like how windows 7 looks more than anything

Maybe I will find a good theme or way of customising windows 10 so it's not so ugly

After more googling seems like windows 7 is incompatible with newer intel processors

Well windows 10 is working out great.. already broke it lol

I installed Jaskta media converter yesterday, worked, today it had an error, uninstalled and restarted, now when the laptop restarts I'm stuck on the first black screen dell symbol that loads up, then it restarts, repeat

I can't work out how to get safe mode up on windows 10 to try and fix anything?

Tapping f8 like it says online seems to do nothing

Turning the laptop on and off 3 times in a row quickly seems to do nothing

I'm getting a bit sick of computers at this point
