how to change php "open_basedir" in Plesk

I know you have found a workaround but so you know, in || PSA10.3 onwards you can define certain php directives in the web interface and open_basedir is one of them. Its in Websites & Domains>Domain.ext>PHP Settings
And if that doesnt work (and it wont because its Plesk) there is a KB article to handle it:
