Uh oh. I thought I'd try it out!

What can I do with it?

What's the worst that could happen? I'd easily succumb to their C&D... lol.

The worst that can happen is really bad - but most of the time turn it over (or delete it from your nominet account) and you'll be ok.

Are you seeing any benefits from it? (traffic or earnings?)
I find it difficult to think that there'd be many benefits in a .org.uk
I've read in the early days how domain and typo squatters made a killing... but not sure any more.

I don't think companies are all that bothered paying for .org.uk versions, and if they really wanted it they'd force you to give it over.

If it was a smaller company, and the .co.uk of their exact name, maybe they'd pay a couple of hundred to take it.

They seem to be a lose-lose... especially with big companies.

i think i might just put a few details on there about the company in question with a direct non-affiliate link to the .com.

that way, at least i can track visits and clickthroughs. i just saw it drop and thought hmm... might be worth a buy.

I wouldn't advise that, don't draw attention to yourself and the domain. :) Your good intentions may also backfire.

Just delete it if concerned. ;)

You could argue the toss that org.uk is "Not-for-profit…" register to an entity in bongo bongo land and host there too,,, They’d likely still win any drs a lot depends on what there “trademark” is classes, where its issued what you do with it etc. There are many that wouldn’t stand up to any form of securitization and lots been registered over the past few years that certainly fall into that category. Although likerly you'd get nothing why would they give a toss about an org,uk Esp as you can do very little with it without giving them ammunition,,,

I'd really consider dumping it mate - even with a PO box or whatever.

Move onto something safe and worthwhile - they won't even give you a Christmas turkey for it.
